Professional Bio
Dr. Matthew Lee is a board-certified Otolaryngologist–Head and Neck Surgeon and a fellowship-trained Facial plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. His clinical interests include functional rhinoplasty for the treatment of nasal valve obstruction, cosmetic rhinoplasty, skin cancer reconstruction, reanimation surgery for facial paralysis, and maxillofacial trauma.

Expertise
In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Lee is deeply involved in academic medicine and is Program Director of the Cedars-Sinai Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery residency training program, as well as the Course Director for the Otolaryngology organ system course at Charles Drew University. He has authored many peer reviewed articles and book chapters on various topics in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, has been the recipient of a research grant for his work in tissue engineering, and has spoken at multiple national meetings throughout the country. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Education
Dr. Lee began his training at
Boston University, where he was among a select a few high school students who received early admission to medical school via a combined baccalaureate / MD training program. Dr. Lee graduated summa cum laude and was additionally selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.


Dr. Lee continued his training at UCLA where he completed a 5-year residency in Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery. Following residency,Dr. Lee then went on to receive additional subspecialty training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University. This fellowship included a specialized focus on cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the face, head and neck.
